1. Don't be put off by the general hysteria in the Internet Dating industry. While scams do happen, the vast majority of the FSU women represented on various websites are honest, marriage minded ladies looking for the love of their lives.

Make sure that the web site you use to search for the lady of your dreams represents only real women that placed the profiles themselves or gave their permission to be on the site and are actively searching for the partner. Beware of "model quality women" whose pictures are often obtained from the local photo studios and who are not really interested in a long-term commitment.

3. Know who you work with - make sure that office address and phone numbers are clearly displayed on the web sites.

4. Know all the costs upfront. Honest businesses place price lists on their web sites and let you know of all costs right away as oppose to luring you in with a picture of the pretty lady and then hitting you with charges for sending and opening e-mails, translation services, etc.

5. Beware of Western Union, Pay Pal and bank transfer type transactions for services. Remember that only reputable companies with the established business history can get merchant accounts with Visa and MasterCard and can in turn be trusted by you.

6. Be careful when sites allow you to publish a free profile on their website but then charge you to open each letter since there is no guarantee that those letters come from real women.

7. Never send any money to the lady that you do not know in person. If any lady asks you for money after a few letters, please report her on our AntiScam page. We will remove her profile immediately and add her data to the centralized AntiScam guides thus assuring that she would not be able to do it to others.
